*Here are the most frequently asked questions we get at Delta Doggy Doo Services;

Why do I need your service?
Dog waste is considered hazardous and cannot be included in your regular garbage. Many of our customers have been red tagged by their garbage disposal company for having dog/cat waste in their trash. Without proof of service from a pet waste removal company, their regular services will not resume. Delta Doggy Doo provides the safest and most environmentally sound way of disposing of pet waste.

Do you pick-up in backyards?
Yes, we now pick-up waste in backyards. We charge $9.50 per week. We also leave a empty bucket just in case it is needed. Our regular bucket only pick-up is $7.00 per week.

What areas do you service?
On Mondays we service the Tsawassen area, on Tuesdays we do Ladner, Wednesdays isRichmond, Surrey and North Delta are done on Thursdays, and the White Rock and Cloverdale areas are done on Fridays.

Do you take cat litter as well?
Yes, we do take cat litter, about 20% of our customers are cat owners. We encourage people to use clumpable cat litter.

What do you actually do?
Every week, we supply our customers with a clean bucket lined with a plastic bag. We take away the used bucket from the previous week. We have 2 bucket sizes, small and large (see image above for an example of both). We then take the used buckets to our workshop and dump them into a holding tank. At the end of the week we transport the tank to Iona Sewage Treatment Plant and have them pump out its contents.

What can't be put in the buckets?
We only take cat litter and dog waste. Please don't include rocks, sticks, garbage, or woods chips as these items will clog up our tank. It is helpful if plastic bags are left separate as well.

What is done with the waste?
The waste is taken to the Iona Sewage Treatment Plant every week. There, the waste is treated by a process called Secondary Treatment. Secondary treatment removes the harmful materials the wastewater contains so it can be safely released into our waterways.
